Lunch and Snack
Lunch Program

Children in half-day and full-day programs remain in their classes for lunch. Staff will assist
children in developing appropriate eating skills and table manners while ensuring proper food
safety and allergy protocols are followed.

The school provides 1% low-fat milk and/or water for all students. Children may bring their own
lunch boxes with containers that they can open independently, or parents may order a catered
lunch on certain days. Geneva requests that no other beverages be brought to school. Children
must be registered in advance with the office and pay additional fees for the catered lunch.

Snack Program

Geneva provides healthy snacks for students in each half-day session and two in full-day
programs. The school maintains and follows individualized food allergy action plans for affected
students and accommodates documented medical dietary restrictions in accordance with
applicable federal and state laws. Teachers sometimes request special foods to support various
teaching themes. They track what foods are served on a monthly Snack Chart, which is saved in
the office for the year.
