Welcome to Geneva's Summer Camp

To All New and Returning Families:

As Director of Geneva Day School who taught here for over fifteen years and

as a parent who enrolled her three children in Geneva's extraordinary programs,

it is my delight to also head our Summer Camp.

Welcome to Geneva's Summer Camp for Young Children!

On the heels of receiving yet more "Best" recognitions from readers of "Bethesda Magazine" and "Potomac Magazine," as well as receiving Maryland Green School certification, it is an honor for Geneva to extend the traditions of the academic year into the warmest months. Summer invites energetic exploration of the out-of-doors and new, sun-filled friendships.

Here, our campers (aged two through six-and-a-half) learn about themselves and the larger world. They discover their environment through our innovative playground, invigorating gardens, and inspiring, nearby creek. Sports, water play, cooking, theater, gardening, story time, arts and crafts, and of course, our weekly themes are often shaped by the STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math) approach.

We hope that your children will join us for a meaningful summer that fosters a "lifelong love of learning."

Very truly yours,

Daisy Lizama

Director of Geneva Day School and Geneva Summer Camp for Young Children

An Additional Message

To All New and Returning Families :: My name is Eunji Choi and I am pleased to be the new

Director of Geneva's Summer Camp! I have worked at Geneva Day School and Geneva

Summer Camp since 2013.

In the past, I held different positions for the Day School. I worked as an assistant within the

classroom and even the office. Currently, I am a 5th-grade teacher at Waters Landing Elementary

School and even recently got my Master of Education at the University of Maryland.

I love to take care of plants, be crafty, and hang out with my nieces during my free time. I have two cats named Oscar and Lily. I know I have big shoes to fill after Ms. Lizama, but I am thrilled about my new role as the Summer Camp Director!

I hope to meet all of you soon. My love for working with children began while working at Geneva Day School and continues today! I am so excited about Geneva Summer Camp 2023 and I hope you are, too!
