Campus and Classrooms

Maryland Green School and
Breathtaking Campus
Learning is second nature when in the
right environment.
Our environment says so much about us.
Where we learn shapes the ways lessons are delivered and how they are received.
At Geneva, our breathtaking campus is the site of learning that takes place throughout the year, facilitating inquiry, and inviting exploration.
Spring,
Summer,
Winter,
Fall. . .
It is when scholars take the lead, per the Geneva Method, that a "lifelong love of learning" ignites.
Cozy Classrooms,
Sensory-Celebratory Corridors, and
Vast Play Areas
We love to invite the outdoors in.
Our cozy classrooms are connected by sensory-celebratory corridors (yes, students may crawl the walls if they so choose!) and vast play areas.
Whether outdoors or in, Mother Nature inspires our study of and conservation efforts for the Monarch Butterfly.

Outdoor Classroom
Rain or shine, we are learning.
Beneath a canopy of trees and perched amidst flower gardens, our "outdoor classroom" presides over sprawling Maryland Green School grounds.
Lessons, celebrations, field day gatherings, and special ceremonies such as "Moving Up" and "Graduation" may take place here.
We LOVE how our devotion to Nature captures attention and spurs the imagination.
Invigorating Playground
State-of-the-art equipment
and embankment slide.
Playing is learning, too.
When student-explorers hear it is time to head to the playground, they often race to our embankment slide.
What an enchanting method of tumbling into our invigorating playground. . .
Student-explorers enter a realm where state-of-the-art equipment, including a sailing ship, firetruck, and sandbox, inspire vigorous PLAY.
Fond friendships, team sports, and imaginative experiences abound.

Unbridled Nature
Flowers, birds, bunnies, butterflies!
Our Maryland Green School is so hospitable, that flora and fauna flourish here, too.
Flowers, some of which are planted by student-botanists in the fall, provide wildlife with protection and the invitation to linger.
Our Monarch Butterfly Waystation, often graced by birds, bunnies, and of course, the butterflies to which it is dedicated, stands as proud testament to our commitment as a Maryland Green School.
Student-projects include designing birdhouses, creating squirrel-feed, and painting Earth Stones, which assist garden borders.
Such special contributions lend to a topography that is shaped by small hands, paws, and hooves. . .
Occasionally, deer and foxes prance through.
Students Take the Lead
Our Geneva Method Invites Exploration and
Celebrates Discovery
Beyond the wisteria trellis, our bamboo forest beckons. Winding paths lead to our. . .
Tree-stump obstacle course,
Fairy tale bridge, and
Charming butterfly chimes.
Further afield, an open knoll unfurls the invitation to explore, as well as the imperative to partake of team sports ("Go, go, go Geneva!").
Per the Geneva Method, students author adventures of their own choosing.
