Art Show, May 2019

See. . . Touch. . . Imagine. . . Create.

On Friday, May 17, Geneva Day School hosted its 39th Art Show by

transforming into a gallery of masterpieces generated by students

over the course of the year both in classes and through specialized art

programs.

"The Show brings Geneva Day School's community together to delight in their children's talents," said Mrs. Korb, the School's Art Specialist. She is assisted by Mrs. Joseph, pictured with her above, in guiding the production and curation of these masterpieces.

Elements of Art brings three and four year olds to discover:

             Color. . .

                        Line. . .

                               Texture. . .

                                      and Form.

Within the "studio" settings of our classrooms and the gardens of our Maryland Green School, multi-media reign.

Works of Wonder inspires PreKindergartners to explore Nature Art and Native American traditions while generating:

   Masks. . .

     Clay pots. . .

        Spirit beads. . .

           Necklaces. . .

               Teepees. . .

                  Totem poles and more.

Art Through the Ages presents Kindergartners with a passport through time and geography. Here come:

Prehistory. . .

  Ancient Civilizations. . .

     Medieval Europe. . .

        Renaissance. . .

          Classicism. . .

              Modern Movements!

Kings. . .

       Queens. . .

              Princesses. . .

                       and Knights. . .

Royal Self Portraits are full of insight! Here are some of our Kindergarten artists who strikingly capture not only their physical selves, but also their effusive spirits.

A symphony of color defines our Art Show. Applause for our artists, musicians, and attendees!
