- National Parent Information
Network (NPIN) This network is
sponsored in part by ERIC, a clearinghouse on elementary and early childhood
education. The purpose of NPIN is to provide information to parents and those
who work with parents and to foster the exchange of parenting materials. The
network provides the full text of dozens of brochures, guides and pamphlets
on topics such as child care, children with special needs, children's health
and nutrition, family and peer relationships, gifted children and more. It
also provides information about books, newsletters and other helpful resources
and provides many links to other sites that address issues pertinent to very
young children through elementary and middle school children.

disorders affecting children and adolescents. It provides information about
various disorders and provides links to other helpful resources.
National Association
for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) The NAEYC is an organization
dedicated to leading and consolidating efforts of individuals and groups
to achieve healthy development and education for young children. NAEYC
is particularly concerned with providing high quality early childhood programs
and providing accreditation for child care facilities that meet their standards.
